“When you have …

“When you have made up your mind what you want to do, say to yourself a thousand times a day that you will do it. The best way will soon open. You will have the opportunity you desire.” – Christian D. Larson

Sometimes one of the hardest things to do in life, whether it’s in your career or regarding a big change you want to make, is to DECIDE what to do.  Usually there really is no wrong or right way, but just choosing something seems to be the most important option.

Sitting around and stagnating in negative energy is never the solution.  It just breeds more used up time and depression, which helps neither your mind, body, or life in general.  Worrying about the correct route just creates a big pile of wasted energy.

Feeling stuck?  Get up and move! Literally, wiggle around.  You will instantly find that you feel better and may feel motivated to go work on something else, completely separate from whatever you were doing.

My nana passed away years ago, and about two years ago I had a dream one night with her in it.  The time and place was out of the ordinary and by judging the look of the cars and people rushing by in some city, it seemed to be taking place in the late 40s or 50s. I was about to open a door to some building when out stepped my Nana and she stopped me with a fiery look in her eyes. She was about 30 years younger, wearing bright red lipstick and a long, forest green trench coat.  Her hair was pinned up out of her face.

She said, “JUST DO IT. JUST..DO…IT.”  That is where the dream ended. I woke up thinking, “Wow.  It doesn’t get any clearer than that.”

I think, especially when it comes to big choices in the creative world, that it is best to just make up your mind and do something, anything.  You can fix it as you go along or change your mind any time you want.  But why just sit there, when the whole world is yours for the taking?
